Hilario assures Moncho that he intends to attend the appointment made to Florencia to confront that mysterious person who has dared to hide from him in his own lands. Leopoldo asks Marisa to find out everything that is going on between his family and the Guanipas, as he needs to be informed about it. Nicolás tells Victoria and Adelaida that Hilario is wounded, but has already been taken to the hospital; Victoria is convinced that it was the young Del Casal's family who attacked him, although Nicolás assures them that this is not the case. Florencia reveals to Victoria, Adelaida and Nicolás that Hilario told her that it was Zambrano, his former foreman, who wounded him; in addition, the young Zapata informs Victoria that Hilario was at her house because he wanted to know if the person who had summoned her was the same person who took Rosendo's body from the place where he - Hilario - had buried it.
